Personal Thoughts:
This is one of the most iconic Telecaster combinations Fender has ever produced. Butterscotch Blonde over ash with a one-piece maple neck and black guard is the definitive early-’50s Tele look, and the American Vintage series did a very good job of capturing that aesthetic without overcomplicating the formula.
The vintage U-shaped neck, 7.25" radius and small frets give it a properly traditional Fender feel, while the ash body and vintage-style Tele pickups deliver the bright attack, snap and dry midrange that define the model. The three-saddle bridge also contributes to that slightly raw, lively response that many players specifically look for in a vintage-style Tele.
A very clean example from the American Vintage era, and a strong choice for anyone wanting a traditional ’52-style Telecaster without moving into Custom Shop territory.
