- Functionally perfect condition and well kept its entire life
- The XLII version has a bit more treble which can perfect if you need a microphone that can cut through a mix and capture all the nuance
- Older version of XLII, not the current one on the market
- Shockmount, case, and pop filter included
This C414 variant was released in the early 2000s and it sounds fantastic, often preferred by many over the latest C414 XLII. The C414 B came after the B-ULS series and features the easier to use pattern switch. Furthermore this one is in fantastic shape, with extremely minimal signs of wear and it was well kept inside its case for all its life. Alongside the microphone, you get the shockmount, original case, and the AKG pop filter.
Functionally this C414 works perfectly from a technical standpoint with a full frequency response and no issues with noise or the functionality of the switches. The only real con with be a bit of denting on the hard case but it is purely cosmetic.
If you want a C414 XLII, I'd recommend grabbing this slighter older revision when AKG was all that more passionate!
