1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb Blackface AB763, made in Fullerton, California, USA.
This amplifier has a particularly well-known history. It belongs to my uncle, who personally purchased it in 1968 from Ghisleri music store in Bergamo, Italy, and has owned it ever since.
It has therefore been with the same owner since 1968.
The amp was used primarily at home for practice and study, with only occasional live performances in the Bergamo area.
The amplifier retains its vintage appearance and shows normal signs of age and use, all clearly visible in the photographs.
To the best of our knowledge, the amplifier retains its original components. Detailed photographs are provided showing the serial number, AB763 tube chart, speaker, tubes, transformers and their codes, chassis and internal components, allowing potential buyers to evaluate the amp carefully.
Condition & operation
The amplifier is working and plays.
I also have videos of the amplifier being played, which I can provide to seriously interested buyers upon request.
For complete transparency, the owner reports a possible issue with the reverb spring/tank, which should be inspected.
No specific technical diagnosis has been carried out, so I prefer not to speculate about the exact cause or repair required.
Given the age of the amplifier, I would recommend that the new owner have it inspected by a qualified vintage tube amplifier technician before regular use.
The amplifier is being sold in its current condition, exactly as documented in the photographs.
