This is a limited edition model from 1996, crafted to closely match the specifications of a 1962 J-45 and commissioned by a domestic dealer. It features a large pickguard, a single-ring rosette, an orange label, a stamped serial number on the neck block, and Kluson-style tuning pegs with white knobs.
On the lower bout of the top, on the left-hand side, there is a dent and associated paint flaking, along with traces of touch-up repairs. However, there appears to be no damage to the wood itself. Apart from this, whilst there is some weather checking, no conspicuous scratches, dents or previous repairs are visible. There is some wear visible on the frets up to the 5th fret on the 1st and 2nd strings.
The neck is in good condition, and the action is set on the lower side, measuring 2.2 mm on the 6th string and 1.8 mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret.
It produces a crisp sound with a boost in the mid-to-low frequencies, characteristic of the J-45.
It comes with the original hard case.
