2000 EPIPHONE MODERNE LIMITED EDITION ‘58 KORINA!! ~ “Gumby” Headstock ~ Excellent condition!!

Up for sale is an exceptionally clean, highly collectible Epiphone Korina Moderne reissue. Based on the serial number prefix and format, this instrument was built in September 2000 at the highly regarded Saein factory in South Korea, which won Gibson's "The Best Quality of the Year" award during this exact era.

This model features the historically accurate, solid-wedge "Gumby" headstock profile. It stands as a premium, highly sought-after iteration for collectors compared to modern variations. It also retains the original "100% Inspected & Set-Up In the USA" factory sticker and the gold "Epiphone Limited Edition" logo stamped on the back of the headstock.

Condition & Specifications:

• Year & Origin: 2000, Saein Factory, Korea (Serial: I00093008)
• Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition. The transparent amber finish over the Korina wood body and neck is remarkably clean, showing distinct wood grain with virtually no visible wear.
• Hardware: Fully original gold-plated hardware in excellent shape with some tarnishing.
• Electronics: Dual factory humbuckers with black speed knobs (two volume, one tone) and a three-way switch.
• Pickguard: Original white multi-ply pickguard featuring the distinct "Moderne" script logo engraving.
• Case: Includes a black hardshell case with a plush grey interior and a protective neck shroud.

Collectibility Note:

The Gibson Moderne holds a mythical status as one of the "holy trinity" of modernist designs patented in 1958 alongside the Flying V and Explorer. Because original 1950s production units remain undocumented or lost to history, early Korean-made Epiphone reissues like this one serve as essential investment pieces for collectors tracking down the legendary design. Finding a Saein-built example in this condition with the original inspection stickers intact is a true rarity.
