Squier Classic Vibe ’50s Stratocaster – Candy Apple Red – Lindy Fralin Woodstock ’69 Pickups

This is NOT your ordinary Squier.

This is a Squier Classic Vibe ’50s Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red, upgraded with a set of Lindy Fralin Woodstock ’69 Strat pickups.

If you're looking for that classic late-'60s Strat sound—the kind of glassy, articulate, dynamic tone that can get you into Jimi Hendrix territory, man this guitar absolutely deserves a look.

The Fralin Woodstock pickups are the real story here. They give this guitar a much more open, responsive and authentic vintage Strat character than you'd expect from a stock Squier.

And this guitar CLEAN is something special.

I've owned this guitar for years, and one of the things that has always impressed me is how incredibly clean and clear it sounds.

I actually used it for clean jazz, and it was phenomenal. The notes stay articulate, chords have definition, and the guitar has that beautiful Strat sparkle without becoming harsh.

But don't let the clean tone fool you—this thing loves effects.

I've also used it for indie rock, clean riffing, ambient sounds and effects-heavy playing, and it responds beautifully to pedals. Throw some reverb, delay, modulation or overdrive in front of it and you've got a huge range of sounds available.

The Fralins really let you hear the character of the guitar.

🎸 Why the Woodstock ’69 Pickups?

Lindy Fralin's Woodstock pickups were designed around the sound and feel of late-'60s Strat pickups, with an emphasis on clarity, dynamics, sparkle and that unmistakable vintage Strat character.

They're a serious boutique pickup upgrade—and they make this particular Classic Vibe something considerably more interesting than a stock Squier.

The middle pickup is also reverse-wound/reverse-polarity, giving you hum-cancelling in positions 2 and 4, while retaining those classic Strat “in-between” tones.

This guitar just sounds GOOD.

That's really what it comes down to.

I've played a lot of guitars over the years, and every once in a while you find one that simply sounds better than it has any business sounding for the price.

This is one of those guitars.

It has the feel and look of a classic Strat, the versatility to cover jazz, blues, rock, indie and everything in between, and the Fralin pickups give it a voice that sets it apart.

It's one of those guitars where someone can plug it in expecting a Squier—and then immediately understand why you upgraded the pickups. And it sounds more Straty then most people's Fender.

I'm selling it because I'd rather see it go to somebody who's going to play it and enjoy it than have it sitting around.

So...is that somebody you?

And what better way to protest Fender prices than buying a Squier? 😂

Not just any Squier, though.

A SUPER SQUIER. 🎸

Happy guitar hunting!
