Merging Technologies Horus

Merging Horus Premium ADA8P + DA8P – 8 In / 16 Out – DSD/DXD – MADI/RAVENNA

For sale is my Merging Technologies Horus professional audio interface/converter, fitted with Merging’s Premium DXD/DSD-capable analogue conversion.

I bought the Horus new in October 2022 and it has only ever been used in my private home studio. It is in immaculate condition, has never been toured or hired out, and has been extremely well looked after.

Configuration

• Merging Horus Base Unit
• IOM-H-ADA8P Premium module – 8-channel Mic/Line A/D plus 8-channel D/A
• IOM-H-DA8P Premium module – additional 8-channel D/A
• The additional DA8P is the later DP81441 Run 10 revision
• Merging Horus Sync cable

This gives a total of:

• 8 analogue Mic/Line inputs
• 16 analogue line outputs
• Premium high-resolution conversion with PCM, DXD and DSD support

Digital I/O

The Horus base unit also provides extensive digital connectivity:

• 64 channels of MADI input and output
• 24 channels of AES/EBU input and output
• RAVENNA/AES67 network audio
• Dual Ethernet network connections
• Word Clock I/O
• Sync facilities
• Front-panel touchscreen control and headphone monitoring

The Horus remains an exceptionally capable high-end converter and network interface, particularly in this Premium analogue configuration. The ADA8P provides Merging’s high-quality microphone preamps and A/D conversion together with eight channels of D/A, while the additional DA8P expands the system to 16 analogue outputs.

Everything is fully working and completely reliable.

I am only selling because I am changing the audio and networking infrastructure in my studio. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Horus and I have been extremely happy with both its sound quality and performance.

A particularly clean, late example with desirable Premium conversion and the later DP81441 Run 10 DA8P card.
