Here we have a timeless Custom Shop Strat from the good folks at Fender. The Sunburst finish is a classic look with a subtle vintage aesthetic. The ‘65 C-Shaped maple neck is a bit larger than your typical Strat neck and is rounded nicely with some subtle figuring in the grain. The rosewood fretboard is particularly rich and its fast and smooth with nice low action. Fender outfitted these from the factory with a pair of ‘69 Custom Shop Strat pickups in the neck and middle positions with an overwound Custom Shop Texas Special in the bridge. Lots of smooth, bluesy tones from the “in between” positions and the bridge portion has a good amount of grit and bite when you need it. Weight is 8 pounds 4 ounces on my scale.

This one is in near flawless condition, it’s been taken care of very nicely. No chips, dings, cracks or significant scratches. The only blemishes I can note are a couple spots around the E, A and e tuning pegs where it appears the finish flaked off from around the washers a bit. Not a big deal, but worth noting. Original Custom Shop case, COA and factory accessories are included as well.
