Apparently somebody at the Fender Custom Shop looked at a ’51 Nocaster and said, “This thing needs an F-hole, a ridiculous quartersawn neck, and several decades of questionable barroom decisions.” The result is this killer 2025 Limited Edition ’50s Thinline Tele in Aged Black Journeyman Relic. It has the classic Tele recipe, except somebody removed a bunch of wood, gave it an F-hole and sent it out looking like it has already played every honky-tonk between Bakersfield and Nashville. Best of all, Fender did all the abusing at the factory, so you can enjoy the battle scars without actually having to sleep in a van for 30 years.

Condition & What’s Included

This guitar was born on October 20th, 2025, and is in the same condition as the day she was born. The wear on this guitar is exactly as Fender intended… And yes, that sentence always sounds a little ridiculous: “Mint condition — please disregard all the scratches, dings and missing paint. We paid extra for those.” 😂

The Journeyman treatment is particularly cool on the Aged Black finish, with scattered wear, checking and small chips giving it the appearance of an old working Tele without looking like somebody dragged it behind a pickup truck. The maple neck and fingerboard have also received Fender’s aged treatment, and that dark walnut skunk stripe running down the back of the neck looks fantastic.

The Thinline construction gives this one a personality all its own. You still get the unmistakable Telecaster attack and attitude, but the hollow ash body and F-hole add a little extra openness and resonance. Then Fender loaded it with a Hand-Wound Texas Special neck pickup and Hand-Wound Original Blackguard bridge pickup, because apparently a normal amount of Telecaster twang was deemed insufficient.

Includes the original Fender Custom Shop tweed hard case, leather Custom Shop portfolio, Certificate of Authenticity, Shop Floor Traveler, case candy, strap and pictured accessories.

It’s basically a Telecaster that has already lived a far more interesting life than most of us — and it hasn’t even had to leave the case.

Return Policy- 

We do accept returns up to 14 days from the point of the initial sale, which means that the guitar must be back in our possession within this 14 day period. However, please be aware of the following conditions: If for any reason you wish to return the guitar, just call or email me directly, within 24 hours of your receiving the item, and let me know that you want to return it. Once we receive the guitar back, in the same condition, you will receive a refund, less a $50 restock fee. Also be aware that the initial shipping fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
