The Gamechanger Audio PLUS Pedal is a unique piano-style sustain and sostenuto effect designed primarily for guitar, bass, synths, keyboards, and other melodic instruments. Rather than simply freezing a note like a conventional freeze pedal, it analyzes and captures a short portion of the natural decay of what you just played, then continuously loops that portion to create a remarkably natural-sounding sustained note or chord. 

What makes the PLUS Pedal different

• Piano-style sustain: Play a note or chord, press the large brass pedal, and the sound continues after you release the strings.
• Natural-sounding sustain: Because it works from your instrument's actual sound—including its harmonics, dynamics, and character—the sustained tone retains much more of your original instrument's personality than a synthesized freeze effect. 
• Layering: You can sustain one sound while playing additional notes or chords over it, allowing you to build pads and harmonic textures in real time.
• Rise control: Determines how quickly a new sustained layer fades in, from an immediate transition to a slow ambient swell.
• Tail control: Determines how long the sustained layer continues after releasing the pedal, including very long or effectively infinite sustain.
• Sustain control: Shapes the high-frequency decay of the sustained sound, helping it behave more like the natural decay of a plucked instrument. 
• Wet/Dry flexibility: You can mix the sustained signal with your original sound or output the sustained signal separately.
• Effects loop: External effects can be inserted so that only the sustained layers receive effects such as chorus, tremolo, delay, reverb, distortion, or pitch shifting. 

Particularly cool for bass

For bass, the PLUS can be used to create sustained bass drones, pads, harmonies, and atmospheric textures without losing the character of the bass itself. Gamechanger specifically designed the PLUS for bass as well as guitar and other instruments. 

For example, you could:

Play a low E → press the PLUS → release the E → play a melody over the sustained E.

Or sustain a chord, then play completely different bass lines over the top. It can essentially turn a bass or guitar into a one-person layered instrument.
