1974 Univox Hi-Flier Bass Phase 3 Sunburst with Original Hardcase

This is a 1974 Univox Hi-Flier Phase 3 bass in Three Tone Sunburst, all original and in genuinely incredible condition.

Univox contracted Matsumoku in Japan to build the Hi-Flier line as a well regarded take on the Mosrite Ventures bass, and the Phase 3 is one of the versions sought after. built with twin humbucking pickups wound with the distinctive white bobbins unique to this era, individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, a bolt on three piece maple neck, a rosewood fretboard, and the offset double cutaway body shape that made the Hi-Flier line so recognizable.

72 Lbs, which is lightweight and expected to be at. It has a 30 inch scale, a bit shorter than a standard bass, which along with the humbuckers gives it a warm, punchy voice that is very much its own thing rather than a generic Fender style tone.

The instrument is exceptionally clean for its age, all original throughout, and comes with its original hard case. It recently had a setup done and is currently strung with D'Addario nickel roundwounds, so it is ready to play right out of the case rather than needing any work.

It ships out professionally packed and fully insured to Continental US and select International destinations.
