Selmer 300 Series Alto Saxophone – Unplayed / Unused Condition

This Selmer 300 Series alto saxophone has never been played or used. It was received brand new through a rent-to-own instrument program after the rental period on my previous saxophone was completed. After receiving this instrument, it was stored in its original Selmer case and never used.

The saxophone was removed from its protective wrapping for the first time to take the photos for this listing. The instrument is in exceptionally clean condition with no playing wear.

Upgraded Henri Selmer Paris S80 C* Mouthpiece

Rather than the standard student mouthpiece, this saxophone includes an unused Henri Selmer Paris S80 C* alto saxophone mouthpiece, made in France. The S80 C* is a high-quality Selmer Paris mouthpiece designed for more advanced performance than a typical student mouthpiece. It includes its original box and Henri Selmer Paris pouch. The standard student mouthpiece is not included.

The saxophone was recently brought to Sax Alley, a saxophone specialty shop in Loveland, Colorado, for an in-person evaluation. They looked over the instrument and did not identify any apparent issues, and indicated that they would be comfortable either purchasing the instrument or accepting it for consignment. No repairs or servicing were recommended or performed.

For reference, the current-generation Selmer 300 Series alto saxophone (SAS301) is currently offered by major music retailers for approximately $2,719 new. The included Henri Selmer Paris S80 C* alto saxophone mouthpiece currently retails separately for approximately $235 new.

Please note that these prices are provided only as a current retail comparison. This instrument is an earlier Selmer 300 Series saxophone and is being sold privately rather than as current authorized-dealer inventory.

Unlike a typical pre-owned instrument, this saxophone has never been played or used and has remained stored in its original case since it was received new.

The photos show the actual instrument, case, mouthpiece, paperwork, and accessories included in the sale. I’m happy to provide additional detailed photos or information upon request.
