The HLF-3 is a simple but extremely useful studio tool. These use passive filter circuitry and transformers and are from the same classic Pultec family of studio equipment. Very cool piece for a vintage recording setup, particularly for someone looking for original Pultec hardware without getting into EQP-1A prices.
