Up for sale, a 2021 Hofner H500/2-CV Club Bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with its hardshell case, hangtags and case candy. Designed specifically as an aesthetic alternative to Paul McCartney’s “Beatle bass,” the H500/2 afforded players that familiar woody thump with a bit of a different onstage look.
Weighing 4lbs 15oz, tonewoods include a spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, a three-piece maple neck with beech reinforcement, and a bound rosewood fretboard. The H510B ‘Diamond Logo’ mini-humbuckers provide a tight, rounded tone with a prominent midrange and controlled, smooth high end. The “Cavern spacing” on the pickups ensures an early Beatles-esque sound that’s particularly fat and plucky. This Hofner benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, with fresh LaBella 39-96 strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Sunburst finish is extremely clean, highlighting the figuring of the bookmatched flame maple back and sides. There are a few small finish chips on the top, body perimeter and back headstock edge and just a few additional faint scuffs and minor marks on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original hardshell case is included, along with factory paperwork and case candy.
