The Bad Cat Mod Shop Cub 15 Head marks a return to the amplifier that launched the company. Inspired by the original 1999 Mark Sampson Cub, this reimagined version delivers the unmistakable British-inspired voice players expect, now housed in a more compact format with a re-voiced EQ, modern flexibility, and boutique construction throughout.
Powered by a pair of EL84 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes, the Cub 15 produces everything from articulate cleans to harmonically rich overdrive from a single channel. A Clean/Overdrive selector and two footswitchable master volumes make it easy to move between rhythm and lead settings without sacrificing the amp's dynamic feel. Studio-quality reverb and a buffered effects loop round out an amplifier equally suited for the stage, studio, or home.
Built in Costa Mesa, California, every Cub 15 features hand-wound Bad Cat transformers and the same uncompromising attention to detail that has made Bad Cat one of the most respected names in boutique amplification. Pair it with your favorite cabinet and experience a modern take on a true classic.
