DESCRIPTION

This is a wild one; so buckle up. Here we have a 1996 MTV-1 Martin. It was a limited run of 1000 and this one is production #211. This is such a cool piece of 90's pop/rock history. From afar, it looks like a standard dreadnought. But upon further inspection, you'll find that it's far from it. 

It features a solid spruce top and an eye catching back & sides -- half mahogany & half rosewood!! Additionally, we have a mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard with abalone letter inlays that spell "UNPLUGGED". To top it all off, there's a super cool looking abalone MTV emblem on the top of the headstock. 

Someone installed a pickup in the guitar at some point; so you'll have the option to plug in; which is a little ironic given the letters on the fretboard (lol). It looks like a pickguard was installed and removed at some point too; 

The tone produced by this guitar is unique. It definitely has some magic... Your typical big Martin sound, but extremely rich in over tones. A lot of harmonic sweetness in the upper frequencies going on. We love this guitar here at Blues Angel Music and have a hunch it won't last very long. So get your hands on this one! You'll love it!
