Follows description from Equipboard:
The Ibanez DDL10 Digital Delay II is a vintage digital delay pedal produced in Japan between 1986 and 1987 as part of the famous Ibanez 10 "Power Series". It is highly regarded for offering the precision of digital processing while retaining a warm, musical, and almost analog-style character.
Key Technical Specifications
- Delay Time Range: Variable delay times stretching from 19ms to 900ms.
- Signal Processing: Converts the original analog guitar signal into high-resolution digital data to prevent signal degradation.
- Country of Origin: Made in Japan by Maxon with classic Japanese craftsmanship.
- Build Layout: Features a compact metal chassis, top-mounted jacks, and a silent footswitch mechanism.
Control Interface & Knobs
- Mode Selector: A 4-way rotary switch that divides the overall delay range into four distinct time intervals.
- D-Time (Delay Time): Provides ultra-fine tuning within the interval selected by the Mode switch.
- Repeat: Adjusts the feedback loop to control the number of echo repetitions, capable of generating rich oscillations.
- D-Level (Delay Level): A wet/dry mix control that sets the volume balance of the effect against your clean signal.
Dual Outputs & Sound Applications
The pedal features dual output jacks—one for the dry/unaffected signal and one for the wet/delayed effect signal. When routing these outputs into two separate amplifiers, it produces dynamic stereo soundscapes:
- Slapback & Doubling: Short delay settings add space and fatten up guitar solos, mimicking a tracking double.
- Ambient Soundscapes: Long delay times combined with high repeat settings yield deep, atmospheric trails.
