Up for sale is an exceptionally well-preserved vintage 1970s Shiro 14x5” steel snare drum, manufactured in Japan (MIJ). Shiro was one of the classic Japanese stencil brands produced during the golden era of Japanese drum manufacturing.
This drum is in Excellent condition. The chrome plating is smooth and reflective with zero pitting, flaking, or rust holes. All shell hardware—including the internal muffler, throw-off, butt plate, and 8 double-ended lugs—is fully original, functional, and clean.

Heads & Wires: Fitted with an Evans batter head, Remo clear resonant head, and upgraded wide multi-strand snare wires for maximum sensitivity and response
Condition: Excellent. Mirror-finish chrome shell and hardware, tight badge grommet, no pitting, and only light handling marks on lugs/hoops consistent with age.
