For sale is an AKG D1000E that sounds great with a nice bass response. The obvious cons with this microphone are the heavy cosmetic wear to the body, and BMS switch not being functional. The BMS switch allows you to tailor the bass response to your liking but in this case it does not reduce bass response.
Inside, the original capsule was just serviced to have it cleaned and brand new foam was installed inside the grille. Normally the foam is completely missing inside or crumbling, which leads them to sound worse than they should. Lastly, these AKG mics from the 70s were not the most durable or resistant to drops, so certainly be wary when buying them with limited details.
If you value performance and do not care much for looks, this D1000E will provide nice performance!
