A first-year Mod Collection Les Paul Modern in Satin Copper. The modifications consist of the exclusive satin copper finish, a sideways vibrola modified to function as a non-vibrola tailpiece, smooth nickel cover, alnico 3 humbuckers, black plastics, and hand-wired electronics. It weighs 9.5 pounds and comes with a Gibson hardshell case, all case candy, and original shipping box.
Lightly played but well-cared for. The Modified Vibrola, acting as a stop-bar tail piece, makes this thing resonate like no other! The satin copper finish looks beautiful and the Alnico 3's are the best sounding pickups. This guitar is as clean and fresh as the day it was created.
First-year Mod Collection guitars are very special. It not only was the very beginning of the Mod Collection from Gibson, every week the entire collection would sell out in a matter of minutes, making any first-year Mod Collection guitar very difficult to acquire.
