1991 Fender Stratocaster ’54 Reissue – Made in Japan – Fujigen – V Neck – Original Hard Case

Here’s a really cool 1991 Fender Stratocaster ’54 Reissue, Made in Japan, from the famous FujiGen factory in Matsumoto, Japan.

These early Fender Japan Strats have developed a serious following for a reason. The early ’90s were part of the golden era of Fender Japan production, when FujiGen was building some exceptionally well-made instruments with great attention to vintage Fender details.

This one has the desirable V-shaped maple neck, a great feel in the hands, and nice low action. The frets are in good shape and the guitar plays extremely well. It has some honest patina and natural playing wear, which I think looks great on a vintage-style Strat.

The original pickups sound fantastic — classic Fender Strat tone with plenty of sparkle, snap, and that unmistakable vintage character. The pickups are strong, balanced, and really come alive through a good tube amp.

The guitar has been set up and is ready to play right out of the case.

It also comes with the original hard case, which is getting harder to find with these Japanese Fender reissues.

If you've always wanted the look, feel, and sound of a ’54 Strat but don't want to spend many thousands of dollars on an original vintage Fender, this is a fantastic alternative. You get a great vintage-style neck, excellent Japanese craftsmanship, original pickups, and a ton of character for a fraction of the price.
