Reluctant sale of my 2001 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 4 H 3EQ Piezo, in classic black with maple neck/fingerboard and black pearloid pickguard.
This is a fantastic early-2000s USA-made StingRay with the particularly desirable H pickup, 3-band EQ and factory piezo bridge configuration.

The piezo gives this StingRay an extra tonal dimension over the standard H configuration, and combined with the 3-band EQ it makes for an incredibly versatile instrument.
It's got all the classic StingRay character — punchy, articulate, powerful and with that unmistakable Music Man growl — but has plenty of tonal flexibility.
I've owned it for a number of years and it has been a great bass for both live playing and rehearsals. It's now being sold simply because I'm streamlining my bass setup and moving towards a lighter gigging rig, rather than because there is anything wrong with it.
It's a 25-year-old instrument, so there are some age-related marks and signs of use, particularly to the chrome and finish, as you'd expect. I've tried to show these honestly in the photographs. Nothing that affects playability or functionality.
The original hard case is included, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find with these older Music Mans.
I'd prefer collection from the Hope Valley, Derbyshire, where the bass can be played and inspected by the buyer. I'm happy to discuss meeting somewhere reasonably local.
£1,850 ONO
I'm not in a desperate rush to sell, so I'm looking for a good home for what is a lovely, increasingly collectible example of an early-2000s StingRay.
