Up for sale is a rare and classic Linn 9000 Drum Machine featuring custom modifications by Forat Electronics and an upgraded Gotek USB floppy emulator.

DETAILED CONDITION & ISSUES (PLEASE READ):

This unit was working perfectly until a book fell on the top control panel, which broke the two plastic tabs on the top of the chassis. It is currently being sold "AS-IS / FOR REPAIR OR SERVICE".

1. Audio / RAM / Battery:

When powered on without the external backup battery connected, output audio exhibits heavy distortion and digital glitches. RAM memory chips have been verified and tested OK, and voice boards were re-seated without change. When connected to the external battery backup, behavior changes, but the system needs proper tracing of the NVRAM/CMOS power line or bus lines.

2. Gotek / File Loading:

Individual `.SND` sound files load and play correctly one by one from the Gotek drive. However, global kit mapping files `.ENV` (environment files) fail to load automatically.

3. Sliders / Controls:

The two top mini-sliders added by Forat (used to adjust accent parameters) have broken plastic shafts. However, the internal electronic potentiometers themselves are fully functional and adjust the audio parameters properly.
