This guitar is one of a kind and you won't find another like it. 1982 was a banner year for Fender and they made the best guitars they had made since 1964. This guitar is in climate-controlled-under the-bed-stored-basically unplayed except for testing-new/mint-condition. It looks and smells as if it were manufactured an hour ago. Everything is perfect, the GOLD hardware is unblemished, untarnished, unfaded, shiny and flawless.

These "The Strat" models were only made for two years. Some of the early ones didn't have the matching painted head stock. This one is rare "Arctic White"---not Olympic White. Most were red or blue. Most were known to be crazy heavy...at least 10 pounds, often 11 or 12. THIS INSTRUMENT IS JUST UNDER 8.5 POUNDS! You won't find another.

The hardware is 22 carat gold-plated. To be officially gold-plated, something must be plated to 5 microns depth; high-end gold watches are plated at 20 microns. THIS GOLD PLATING IS 100 MICRONS. That's one reason these are rare---Fender stopped making them because they were so expensive to make that dealers couldn't make a profit.

50's style small head stock, 4 bolt neck, 50's truss rod placement, almost masturbatorily comfortable neck, and it sings, feels and sounds amazing, looks incredible, and has the knob select switch to give a total of 5 sounds in addition to the standard 5 Strat tones. Original case and candy included.
