'80's Alembic Spoiler "Exploiter" with a unique spider web decal under the clear coat. I do not know the story of the finish - it came that way when I got this years ago.
top: Bird's-eye Maple
body: Mahogany
neck: 3-piece Maple, 32" medium scale
fingerboard: Ebony, pearloid inlays
pickups: 2 Alembic AXY
controls: "Spoiler" volume, 4-position rotary pickup selector switch, filter, 2-position Q switch, mono output
Lots of dings, but this is a beauty nevertheless. Functionally perfect - definitely a player rather than a museum piece. Absolutely no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Electronics function flawlessly, and the sound is super hi-fi. This is a great slapping bass, both from a sonic and scale length (32") perspective.
Stainless steel fretwork by Tenorio Werx (the best in the business IMHO). You can dial in some crazy-low action on this amazing neck/fretwork combo. ZERO fret wear.
The only reason I am selling is because I acquired a "big boy" Alembic with a long scale that suites me better. Haven't gigged with this one since.
Original hard shell case and adjustment tools included.
I will have it professionally packed and shipped to you FOR FREE via FedEx fully insured.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions - check my feedback and buy with confidence!
This great bass is also listed for sale locally so I retain the right to end this listing at any time.
