This 1974 Gibson SGII is an excellent guitar
Frets have a lot of life left in them
Nut width is 39.6mm in this era they were a bit thinner than modern Gibsons
Neck feels very comfy and I really enjoy playing this era of Gibsons.
1st Fret thickness is .78in
12th Fret thickness is .94in
Pickups are what Gibson referred to as High Output Gibson Mini Humbuckers.
They really arent too High Output measure in the area of like 7.5k
They have a unique tone to them. Very bluesy!
The guitar plays great!
Truss rod works perfectly.
Guitars old bridge was leaning so replaced with a new Gibson ApI lightning bridge and Music city locking studs that prevent leaning of bridge. The new Bridge look identical to the old ones and are made by API. Original Bridge and Studs are in the case.
guitar has dings checking and dents on the body please see pics. I believe its all original except the knobs and I replaced the selector switches one was broken when I got the guitar. Original switches are in the case in a baggie.
Tuning keys work well g string tuner has a slight bend to the winder I noticed when stringing it up. Lots of guitars have this issue doesn't affect playability or tone
I insure all shipments and will pack carefully so gets to you in one piece!
