1991 Fender Prodigy Bass USA – Arctic White – Passive EMG Select P/J – Gig Bag
1991 Fender Prodigy Bass – Made in USA
Early USA-made Fender Prodigy Bass in Arctic White, serial N1 000408.
I purchased this bass used in 1994. At some point before I owned it, the original active electronics were replaced with a passive P/J setup using Select Designed by EMG pickups. It has volume/tone controls and a mini-toggle selector. There is no battery and no active preamp.
Most importantly, it plays and sounds excellent. It was recently professionally set up and is ready to play.
The bass shows normal cosmetic wear from age and use, including small dings, marks and finish wear. Please look closely at the photos; I’ve tried to show the condition accurately. The unusual graphic on the back has been there for many years and is shown clearly in the photos.
Made in USA with rosewood fingerboard and Schaller-licensed tuners.
Includes gig bag.
A very cool, very early Fender Prodigy that has been a great-playing bass for decades. The electronics are not factory original, so it’s priced accordingly.
