Built in Valencia, Spain by past Nacho Guitars master builder luthier Javier Alemañ; The Candy Old Guitar TL Blonde 59s is a carefully crafted interpretation of a late 1950s Telecaster, combining period inspired construction and electronics with a few thoughtful choices aimed at modern playability. These aren’t just the next best thing to the Nacho Guitars, they’re every bit as great.

The ash body is finished in classic 1959 style Blonde with a nitrocellulose finish and paired with a plain grain maple neck. The chunky C profile measures approximately .860" at the 1st fret and .960" at the 12th fret. A 9.5" fingerboard radius and 21 Dunlop 6120 jumbo nickel silver frets give the guitar an easier playing feel while retaining the character and response of a traditional Tele style instrument.

Electronics are centered around Candy Old Original 59 pickups, custom wound by Ballestone Pickups for Candy Old Guitar. The neck pickup measures approximately 7.80k, while the bridge measures approximately 7.25k. The traditional volume and tone controls are paired with ann Oak Grigsby 3 way switch and 50s modern wiring. Candy also selected an original 1950s NOS capacitor for the tone circuit and a 250k Bournes solid shaft potentiometers chosen to reproduce the taper of an original vintage pot.

The hardware follows the same vintage focused approach, with a vintage style bridge, saddles, tuners, string tree, neck plate, and chrome and nickel hardware throughout. A white 1950s style pickguard completes the late 50s aesthetic. These aren’t just a next best thing to the Nacho guitars, they’re every bit just as great. 

Designed and crafted in Valencia, Spain by Javier Alemany and the Candy Old Guitar team, this TL Blonde 59s is an appealing combination of vintage Tele character and comfortable modern playability. It includes its Certificate of Authenticity, shop floor traveller, and tweed Gator case.
