Vintage 1959 Ludwig ‘Scotch’ 26×8 Marching Bass Drum in Gold Sparkle

Hello! You are looking at a Vintage 1959 Ludwig ‘Scotch’ 26×8 Marching Bass Drum in Gold Sparkle. This drum comes from Ludwig’s celebrated "Transitional Era", and features a 8" shallow depth paired with a large 26" diameter. As a result, it delivers a punchy, warm low-end thump with quick decay, making it perfect for collectors, traditional pipe band setups, or a unique pancake-style bass drum conversion for modern drum kits.

This bass drum is in good shape for a 50+ year old vintage instrument! The wooden hoops have some paint flaking but are complete and in the round. Minor imperfections are present throughout, but functionality-wise this drum is still in great playing condition. A small portion of the body is misshapen and seems to be forming a small crack.
