Up for sale is a vintage c. 1980-1983 Moog Opus 3 analog synth keyboard (Strings/Brass/Organ polyphonic design).

This unit is offered strictly as an As-Is / Non-Tested Bench Project for synth technicians, restorers, or DIY builders. Originally purchased off Reverb several years ago with the previous seller stating "all working except strings section," it has sat in storage on the shop shelf ever since. Because we do not have the proper AC power cable on hand, it has NOT been powered on, function-tested, or verified in-house.

• Sold Strictly AS-IS: This synth is sold non-functional/untested as a project unit. All known cosmetic and missing hardware details are itemized below. No returns, refunds, or post-sale price adjustments will be granted under any circumstances.
• Shop Queue Notice: If this synth does not move within our Reverb listing window, it will be pulled, handed to our bench tech for power supply/re-cap servicing and slider replacements, and re-listed at full serviced market value ($1,100+). Grab it as a raw project while available.

REQUIRED ATTENTION (PROJECT SPECS & DEFECTS)

• Power Cable: No power cable included. Unit is completely untested by Ypsi Guitars.
• Missing Knobs & Hardware: Missing several original slider/pot caps, switch tips, and panel knobs throughout (some bare metal shafts/stems remain). Additionally, a few underside chassis screws are missing, allowing the top panel shell to lift slightly if not secured.
• Keybed & Cabinet Condition: There is a visible crack/scratch on one white key face (remains structurally attached). Wood side panels show finish flaking, edge wear, and scratches. Front black faceplate exhibits general cosmetic scuffs, scratches, and accumulated bench dust.
