Up for sale is a 1976 Guild F-112NT 12-string acoustic guitar, built at the legendary Westerly, Rhode Island plant.
This instrument is being offered strictly as an As-Is / Structural Project Guitar for luthiers, restoration techs, or player-builders. The F-112 is famous for its compact 15-3/8" lower bout body size (comparable to an F-30) that delivers big Westerly 12-string chime without the bulky dreadnought footprint. This particular guitar has seen heavy player use and may require bench work to stabilize side cracks.
IMPORTANT SALE TERMS & QUEUE NOTICE
- Sold Strictly AS-IS: This guitar is sold as a project instrument requiring lutherie repairs. All known structural and cosmetic issues are detailed below. No returns, refunds, or post-sale price adjustments will be granted under any circumstances.
- Shop Queue Notice: If this item does not sell within our shop window, it will be pulled from Reverb, placed into our active bench restoration queue, fully repaired (jack hole addressed/side cracks cleated, setup dialed in), and re-listed at full market value ($850+). Grab it at project pricing while available.
REQUIRED ATTENTION (PROJECT SPECS & DEFECTS)
- Side Cracks & Output Jack: An aftermarket 1/4" output jack was installed through the lower bout treble side rim at some point. Scratches or stress cracking and seam/side fractures are visible radiating outward from the jack mount.
- Neck Back & Headstock: Several shallow divots, impressions, and thumb wear marks along the back of the mahogany neck profile. Headstock face and edges show normal vintage finish checking and lacquer chips.
- Body Finish & Wear: Heavy player wear throughout, including extensive buckle rash on the back, heavy pick wear, surface scratches, and minor dings across the top and back.
- Hard Case Condition: Includes the worn original Guild hardshell case. Tolex is scuffed/peeling in areas, and some latches are broken/non-functional. Functional for storage/shipping protection, but latch hardware needs replacement for secure gigging transport.

THE YPSI GUITARS TAKE
Vintage Westerly-built 12-strings are absolute tanks, and the F-112 size is easily the most comfortable 12-string Guild ever made. The soundhole pickup gives it a cool vintage electric-acoustic vibe, but the side cracks around the jack need internal cleats and hide glue before you put this under full concert pitch tension. If you've got the lutherie skills to stabilize the rim and dress the frets, you'll end up with a killer mid-70s Westerly cannon for half the market rate.
AS-IS DISCLAIMER CLAUSE
PLEASE NOTE: This instrument is sold strictly AS-IS, WHERE-IS, as a project guitar requiring repair/lutherie work (including side crack cleating, structural reinforcement near the output jack, and general setup). All known cosmetic and structural defects have been fully documented and described above. By purchasing this instrument, you acknowledge that it is a project build and agree that no returns, partial refunds, or post-sale price adjustments will be granted under any circumstances. Please ask all questions prior to purchasing. Ships fully insured in its original hardshell case.
