Since 1958, the Gibson ES-335 has defined the sound of the semi-hollowbody archtop electric guitar. Its smooth, dynamic tone has inspired generations of players across a variety of genres and playing styles. Not many guitars have attracted such a diverse group of players. That's because the ES-335 performs beautifully in every setting. It's a natural fit for jazz and fusion, but it can just as easily delve into the blues, hard rock, and beyond.

This Gibson ES-335 was made in Nashville, Tennessee in 2022. While it borrows heavily from the original '50s Dot-neck specs, it is not a "historic" model so it enjoys the best of both worlds—honoring the best of the vintage icons while optimizing the design with modern precision. It features a satin Vintage Natural finish, which looks simple and understated with the dot inlays on the fingerboard. More than anything, the satin clear coat shows off some nice Maple curl and flame that pops from the right angles. Relative to the '60s 335 neck profiles, the C shape on this one feels a little bigger, more like the '50s originals. The neck depth measures .850" at the 1st fret, and the nut width is 1-11/16". 

For pickups, this 2022 Gibson ES-335 Satin sports two Calibrated T-Type humbuckers, which recreate the clear, dynamic sound of vintage T-Tops. All of the hardware is proper Gibson—ABR-1 bridge, stop-bar tailpiece, Kluson keystone tuning machines, and Gibson USA electronics. The guitar's tone is dynamic and versatile. There's an open, airiness to the sound that blooms into nice sustain, a great example of why 335s make a great choice for leads. But this guitar also has the snappy, responsive low end that makes 335s an equally good choice for percussive rhythm playing. 

This 2022 Gibson ES-335 Satin is a used guitar, so it shows some minor scuffs and signs of use—nothing too severe! This one is in nice shape all around. The setup is excellent—no buzzes, pinched notes, or issues—just a great playing Gibson guitar! Original hardshell case, hang tag, and case candy included.
