Beautiful first year Taylor Builder’s Edition 717, built in El Cajon, California and featuring Taylor’s Grand Pacific round shoulder dreadnought body. Designed by Andy Powers, the 717 pairs a torrefied Sitka spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, along with Taylor’s V-Class bracing for a rich, powerful acoustic voice with excellent sustain, clarity and low end definition.

The Builder’s Edition treatment adds several premium player focused appointments, including Taylor’s Compound Carve neck profile, rolled fretboard edges, chamfered body edges, Curve Wing ebony bridge and Silent Satin finish.

Condition:
Extremely clean and very well cared for. There is only very faint fret wear along with the minor signs of handling/play one would expect from a gently used instrument. Overall, it presents beautifully. The guitar plays great with comfortable action and sounds fantastic, with plenty of fret life remaining.

The 717 is a particularly cool chapter in Taylor history: a distinctly traditional, rosewood dreadnought-inspired voice combined with the modern playability and ergonomic refinements of the Builder’s Edition series. This is an especially nice first-year 2019 example complete with its original premium hardshell case.
