This is a Gibson Custom Shop Peter Frampton signature Les Paul Custom (the earlier "Black Beauty" version from the 2000s run) serial number PF 236. This particular guitar was made in 2000 or very early 2001 at the latest. All available evidence places the PF 236 firmly in the first year of production. The guitar is in excellent condition as the photos show for a 26 year old guitar. The guitar features a nitrocellulose finish with multi-ply binding on the body and headstock with Frampton's signature on the 12th fret mother-of-pearl inlaid. The electronics are three open-coil humbucker pickups with a '57 Classic in the neck.' 57 Classic Plus in the middle, and a Hotter 500T in the bridge.
