This is a Mojave MA-200, David Royer of Royer Microphone's first venture into condenser design. He started Mojave in 2006 and the MA-200 in black was one of his first products. A U67 inspired cardioid condenser microphone and this one is in extremely clean condition. No marks on the grill and no marks on the body. One scuff mark on the shock mount screw underneath which is hidden. One scratch on the power supply metal top. Briefcase is also in very good condition. The microphone and power cables look and feel practically new. All parts kept safe in its briefcase most of its life. Internally, there's a beautiful military grade JAN 5840 tube with a Jensen transformer and the sound of the microphone on vocals is world class in my opinion.

Mojave are affordable microphones but that doesn't stop world class engineers and producers from selecting them, even when the top shelf Neumann U47/U67s are available. Sylvia Massey has used them as overheads. Ryan Hewitt and Greg Wells used them on Jamie Cullum's piano. Al Schmitt always has a Mojave around for vocals when he needs it. RRP is over £1100 in the UK.
