Career Opportunity: Professional Troublemaker
Seeking a guitar with strong qualifications in riffs, questionable volume levels, and looking significantly more expensive than it actually is. Previous experience in rock, blues, punk, alternative, or garage-based noise complaints preferred.
Up for grabs is a Yamaha Revstar RS320 in Ice Blue, part of Yamaha’s original-generation Revstar lineup. Inspired by the café-racer motorcycles of the 1960s, the Revstar has one of those rare designs that manages to feel vintage without simply copying something Gibson already made 70 years ago.
This one has been professionally inspected, tested, and prepared with the same level of care I’d expect if I were buying it myself. It also comes professionally setup with premium strings for ultimate playability.
The Guitar
The RS320 was the entry point into the original Revstar family, but Yamaha didn't treat it like an afterthought. You get a set-in neck, 24.75" scale length, rosewood fingerboard, dual ceramic humbuckers, and traditional Tune-O-Matic/stopbar hardware wrapped up in that distinctive Revstar body.
The Ice Blue finish is especially sharp—retro enough to fit the café-racer aesthetic but unusual enough to stand out in a rack full of sunbursts and black guitars.
The pickup selector switch has been swapped out for a 3 way toggle switch by the previous owner. I do not have the blade switch. The emblem also has some gunk on it, like someone put super glue on it in order to cover the emblem.

Tonally, the ceramic HH3 humbuckers give it plenty of output for overdrive and heavier rock while still cleaning up nicely. The shorter 24.75" scale also gives it that comfortable, slightly slinkier feel that makes bends and big chords especially enjoyable.
Yamaha has since discontinued the original RS320, making these first-generation Revstars an increasingly interesting option for players who prefer the styling and simplicity of the original series.
Trades: Certainly! I give 70% market value on all trades. Guitars, basses, pedals, and amps all welcome.
