1981 Yamaha FG-300D Vintage Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar – MIJ – Hardshell Case

Yamaha FG-300D – Vintage Japanese Dreadnought – Deep & Mellow Tone – Natural – Hardshell Case

The 1981 Yamaha FG-300D is a premium vintage Japanese dreadnought from Yamaha's highly regarded late-1970s and early-1980s production era. Built to deliver the powerful presence of a traditional American dreadnought while showcasing Yamaha's excellent Japanese craftsmanship and carefully selected tonewoods, the FG-300D is a fantastic vintage acoustic for both players and collectors.

The FG-300D is known for its mature, mellow, and deep tonal character, offering substantial bass response while maintaining excellent clarity and note separation.

Tone & Construction

The combination of spruce and walnut tonewoods gives the FG-300D a rich and balanced voice with a lively midrange attack, strong projection, and an expansive low end that remains controlled rather than muddy.

Its mature tonal character makes it particularly well suited for strumming, flatpicking, singer-songwriter work, and full-sounding acoustic arrangements where depth and projection are important.
