For sale is my Yamaha SG-3000S, Yamaha’s flagship SG model from the 1980s. This is an exceptionally clean example that has been extremely well cared for and has only very minor cosmetic marks around the input jack or endpin. It was made in Japan in 1983 and I bought it from Paris around 2019.

The guitar has spent its life primarily in jazz and educational environments and has not been used as a heavily gigged or touring instrument. I actually wouldn’t even practice on this guitar out of fear of wearing it out too much! As a result, there is virtually no typical road or stage wear. Aside from very scratches around the input jack, the guitar remains in outstanding condition for its age. I believe these tiny marks are from usage of a Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer pedal.

It has only ever been professionally set up by Jacob’s Custom Guitars in Merritt Island, Florida, specializing in vintage guitar restoration and professional setups. The guitar has been properly maintained and plays and sounds excellent. I have even cleaned the fretboards greatly since the attached photos were taken

• Original gold pickguard
• Original screws for the gold pickguard

The gold pickguard has never been installed and is included separately with its original screws.
