Selling this incredibly Sweetwater exclusive ‘68 Les Paul from Gibson’s Custom Shop. This was a very limited run that is no longer in production featuring a Zenith Gold finish, Alnico IV Sugarbucker pickups and a faux-stinger aesthetic to top things off. This guitar oozes rock ‘n roll tone with sparkly highs and chunky mid-range. It maintains incredible clarity when overdriven and the chambered mahogany body resonates very nicely. The medium-C neck profile is perfectly comfortable in all positions, somewhere right between a 50’s and 60’s profile. Not too thin, but sits nicely in your hand without much effort. It sports all the Custom Shop binding and block inlays along with vintage style tuners and a gold Custom Shop medallion - just an incredible package. Weight is very light at 8 pounds 3 ounces on my scale.
This one is only a couple months old and is still in mint condition with no signs of wear to note. No cracks, breaks or repairs, you’d even be hard pressed to find any scratches. Original Custom Shop case, COA and all factory paperwork is included. Original price tag for this rare beauty through Sweetwater was $7700.
