What does it sound like?
The China Boy High has a sharp, explosive attack that works especially well for accents, fills and heavy musical passages. Compared with a conventional crash, it has the characteristic "gong-like" or trashy China character and cuts through a loud drum kit very effectively.
It's particularly popular for rock, hard rock, metal, punk and alternative music, although it can be used in many styles.
