This is a 1978 King tuba. Serial number :689639 This is a rare recording model because of the forward-facing bell. Special orders from the military, colleges, and recording pros with trickle in back in those days. The tone is better on the non-removable bells, making these models more desirable to pros.
The instrument has a couple light dings. The bell is straight. You'll find light tarnish here and there -- mostly on the back. But again, not bad. The front of the instrument looks very good.
Comes with the original case and a mouthpiece. Will ship it in a box.
