Taylor has started making a lot of different kinds of baritones, I think these have some of the sweetest tone. The person who owned this before me had the nut and saddle changed to make it a six string, I've never had it set up as a full 8 string but I see no reason to think it wouldn't work fine as either and the original 8 string nut and saddle are included. Currently plays great, brand new elixir strings. I'm only getting rid of it because I have several other Taylor baritones and it's too similar to some of the others.
