This Gibson Melody Maker was made in the USA in the late 1960's. It has a cool serial# - 900001, which dates to 1970 according the the Gruhn book, but there is no volute, no made in USA stamp, 1966 pots, and so we think this is a '67 or '68. It is all original except the Bigsby is added. Originally it has a maestro trem and the holes are covered by the bigsby which works better. The original sparkling burgundy finish has faded to a burnt orange/red sunset apocalypse color that is hard to argue with. It has been pro-setup in our store and is in excellent playing condition. It comes with the original soft case.
