This is a 2011 Ernie Ball Music Man "Ball Family Reserve" John Petrucci JP7 7-string in Black Burst with a full setup, fret level, fret polish and fret dress.
The guitar features a highly figured flamed maple top and is in excellent overall condition. It has some very light surface scratches and one small clear-coat scuff/nick near the neck pickup that was previously touched up. I have included photos of this area so the condition can be clearly seen.
Since purchasing the guitar, I have kept it in the same overall condition and have had it professionally serviced by a luthier. The work included a full setup, fret level, fret polish and fret dress. It currently plays extremely well with comfortable action, clean fretting and no buzzing or other issues.
The guitar is completely stock. The pickups, piezo system, controls and electronics all work properly.
The guitar weighs approximately 8.39 lbs.
It comes with the original Music Man hardshell case. The case handle has some tape on it and the latch springs no longer automatically open the latches, although the latches themselves function properly and the case securely closes and protects the guitar.
Overall, this is a fantastic example of a JP7 BFR and is a great opportunity to pick up one of the more desirable JP7 models.
