The Gibson J-45 Standard 2025, Sunburst is a premium American-made acoustic guitar and one of Gibson's most iconic models. The J-45 has been produced since 1942 and is famously known as “The Workhorse.” It is a round-shoulder dreadnought designed for a warm, balanced sound with strong bass and projection.

Sound

The combination of Sitka spruce and mahogany gives the J-45 its characteristic warm, woody tone. It has pronounced but controlled low end, strong mids, and enough high-end clarity for fingerpicking and strumming. It's particularly popular for folk, country, blues, rock, singer-songwriter, and acoustic recording.

The L.R. Baggs VTC electronics make it suitable for plugging directly into an acoustic amplifier, PA system, or recording setup while keeping the controls discreetly mounted inside the soundhole.
