Here we have a vintage Fender Stratocaster Hardtail electric guitar. Made in the USA in 1973. Sunburst finish. This Strat was in need of some help in a few areas when we took it in. We have completely gone through it and now it is a great playing instrument. A nice lightweight example at 7lbs 5oz. We've got an Alder body, Maple neck, and a 21- fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar has been re-fretted at some point in its life. They have been freshly leveled. 7.25" radius. Thin neck profile measuring .762" at the 1st fret and .898" at the 12th. 3- single coil pickups, hardtail bridge, and Schaller tuning machines. The guitar has had a brass bridge installed (original not included) Brass ferrules too. The body cavity has been routed at some point for a 9v battery. The middle pickup route has also been enlarged. Widened but not deepened. A new replacement Allparts pickguard has been installed. (original is included but has been cut by the bridge area) This guitar comes with a non original hard case. Most likely from the 70's.

Switch tip
This guitar has just been pro setup by our technician and is playing really well. Strung with 10-46's. The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod is working as it should. The frets are in very good shape and have just been leveled from optimal playability. This guitar plays cleanly up and down the fingerboard with no issues.
Cosmetically, this guitar is in good condition for its age. The body has nicks, marks, indents, dings, and finish wear including checking and some fading. The fingerboard is beautiful. The back of the neck has several marks and chips. The largest one behind the 3rd fret has been filled in with clear and is super smooth. There are other small dings as well. The headstock top has general wear along the edges. There are two extra holes on the headstock face between the nut and low E tuner.
All in all, this is a killer playing 1973 hardtail Strat. It's got a great weight and a now has a great sound. Classic sunburst finish. Its "player grade" and perfect for the stage or studio. Thanks for looking and happy buying!
