The Tech 21 SansAmp Character Series Liverpool V2 is a preamp, amplifier emulator, and cabinet simulator pedal designed to capture the iconic sounds of classic British Vox-style amplifiers. The key difference between the V2 and the original version is the addition of a speaker simulation bypass switch. This allows you to disable the built-in speaker emulator circuitry when running the pedal directly into the front input of a traditional guitar amplifier.
Key Features & Technical Specs
- Vox Amp in a Box: Emulates early '60s British tone from clean chime to heavy overdrive.
- Speaker Bypass Switch: Defeats the built-in cabinet simulator for optimal use with a physical guitar amp.
- Active 3-Band EQ: Offers cut or boost of up to ±12 dB for custom tone-shaping.
- Versatile Routing: Runs direct to PA systems, audio interfaces, recording software, or standard amplifiers.
- Power Requirement: Operates on a standard 9V DC power supply
