The Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe v2 is a premium, boutique, British-voiced "amp-in-a-box" distortion pedal handmade in the U.S.A. It is widely celebrated for capturing the iconic, high-gain Marshall-style "Brown Sound" made famous by Eddie Van Halen, but its massive array of controls extends its range from subtle classic rock crunch to screaming modern metal. Key Features & Technical Specifications The Version 2 overhaul significantly upgrades the original circuit with enhanced tone-shaping power and modern pedalboard conveniences:

• Active 3-Band EQ: Replaces the original's single tone control with powerful, active Bass, Mids, and Treble knobs tailored specifically for guitar-to-amp synergy.
• Independent "Valve Screamer" Boost: A dedicated, independently switchable pre-gain boost circuit. Controlled by its own footswitch and knob, it can be stacked with the distortion or used completely on its own to push your amplifier's clean channel. [
• The SAG Switch: A unique side-mounted toggle. Engaging it replicates the squishy, saggy compression of a cranked tube amp's power section; switching it off tightens the low-end response for lightning-fast modern metal tracking.
• Voicing Toggles: Features a Modern/Vintage switch (Vintage is warmer and mid-forward; Modern adds high-end bite) and a Boost/Gain switch to restructure internal gain staging.
• Hardware Design: Built with high-grade components, top-mounted input/output jacks to save pedalboard space, and a silent relay-based true bypass system.
• Power Specs: Operates on standard 9V to 18V DC power (19mA draw at 9V / 23mA at 18V). Running it at 18V provides increased headroom and wider dynamic response.
