The MXR M225 Sub Machine Octave Fuzz is a versatile guitar and bass effects pedal that combines a shaggy '60s-style vintage fuzz with an independent sub-octave circuit. First conceived in the MXR Custom Shop, it expands on the standalone La Machine Fuzz by offering both octave-up and octave-down capabilities for wall-of-sound subterranean tracking.
- Dual-Octave Controls: Features standard Volume, Tone, and Fuzz controls alongside an Octave-Up footswitch and a dedicated Sub-Octave volume knob. [
- Series / Parallel Switch: Toggles whether the sub-octave is smashed directly through the fuzz circuit (for saturated glitchiness) or kept clean in parallel (for a thick, multi-channel depth).
- All-Analog Tone: Deliver warm, vintage-inspired clipping with a true bypass layout to protect your clean guitar signal when disengaged.
- Great Bass Compatibility: Tracks incredibly well on single-note lines, making it popular for both heavy guitar riffs and synth-style funk bass lines.
