British Rock Tone in a Compact Pedal

The Friedman Dirty Shirley Overdrive brings the legendary character and dynamic response of the Dirty Shirley amplifier to a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. Delivering rich, harmonically complex, tube-like overdrive, it takes you from a powerful clean boost to thick, gritty rock tones with ease.

Featuring the same intuitive control concept as the Dirty Shirley amp, the pedal gives you Volume, Gain, Bass, Treble and Presence controls for precise tone shaping. The side-mounted Tight switch lets you tighten up the low end for a punchier, more percussive response.

From Dirty Boost to Full-On Rock

The Dirty Shirley Overdrive works beautifully with both clean and already-overdriven amplifiers. Roll back the Gain, turn up the Volume and use it as a powerful boost to push your amp harder. Increase the Gain for a thick, responsive overdrive that fits effortlessly into everything from classic rock to modern rock.

Just like the original Dirty Shirley amplifier, the pedal responds naturally to your picking dynamics, playing style and guitar volume control. Play softly for more touch-sensitive cleans and edge-of-breakup tones, or dig in to unleash its full British rock character.
